Bank Transfer at R855: Account-to-Account Deposits and Payouts

Bank Transfer text label used on this site for account-to-account payments

A bank transfer is the slowest-looking method on most cashier lists and often the most dependable one, because both ends are accounts with names attached. It is also the method where one wrong digit or one fake set of account details costs the most. This page covers the transfer in, the transfer out and the details you must never take from anyone but the cashier.

Depositing by bank transfer

  1. Log in to R855 on the address you typed, open the deposit tab and choose bank transfer if it appears for your account.
  2. Enter the amount. The cashier shows the receiving account details and, usually, a reference code tied to this deposit.
  3. In your banking app — ABA Mobile, ACLEDA mobile, Wing Bank App or any other bank you use — create the transfer with exactly those details and paste the reference into the remarks or purpose field.
  4. Check the beneficiary name the bank shows before you confirm. If it differs from what the cashier displayed, cancel.
  5. Keep the bank receipt until the balance updates.

For readers without a smartphone, a bank branch works too: ACLEDA Bank alone has 263 branches across Cambodia, the largest physical network in the country. The rule is the same at a counter as in an app — the receiving details come from the cashier on your own screen, not from a person.

The reference code is the whole trick

Transfers arrive at the operator's account as a stream of payments from many people. The reference code is how one of them becomes your deposit. Without it, or with a typo in it, the payment lands but cannot be matched automatically and waits for someone to find it by hand. Copy the code rather than retyping it, and if your bank limits the length of the remarks field, put the code first and nothing else.

Changed-details scams

The most expensive bank transfer fraud does not touch your password at all. A message arrives — by e-mail, Telegram or Facebook Messenger — saying the casino has new bank details, or that today's deposits go to a different account because of maintenance. The details lead to a private account. Real cashiers show the receiving account inside the logged-in page for each deposit, and a change never arrives as a message first. Treat any account number that reached you through a chat as a scam until the cashier itself shows the same number.

Names in Latin letters

If your name can be written in both Khmer and Latin script, use the same Latin spelling everywhere. The casino account is registered in Latin letters, so it should match the spelling your bank prints on statements and shows in the app. A different spelling between the two is a frequent cause of delay at the first payout.

Withdrawing by bank transfer

Bank transfer is the payout route cashiers offer most often, including to people who deposited by QR or card. In the withdrawal tab of R855's cashier, choose bank transfer, enter the bank, the account number and the account name exactly as your bank shows them, and confirm. The request waits in pending while the operator reviews it; the first payout usually comes with verification, such as a passport or other government-issued photo ID and a statement or screenshot that shows the account belongs to you. Once the operator sends the money, the receiving bank processes it, so the total time is the sum of both steps.

Currency of the receiving account

Bank accounts in Cambodia are commonly held in riel or in US dollars. If the payout currency differs from the account currency, the receiving bank converts it at its own rate with a margin; at the unofficial rate of about 4,100 riel to the dollar, a 200-dollar payout into a riel account is roughly 820,000 riel before that margin. Pointing a dollar balance at a dollar account avoids the question.

The method list and limits depend on the account — check in R855's cashier. Minimum and maximum transfers, fees and processing times are set by the operator and the banks; we do not quote them.

Bank transfer questions

Where do I get the account number for a bank transfer deposit?
Only from the deposit tab of R855's cashier after you log in, generated for that deposit. Account numbers sent in a chat, an e-mail you did not expect or a social media post are not a deposit route, even when the message uses the R855 logo.
What if I forget the reference code?
Then the operator has to match your transfer by hand, which takes longer. Contact the operator's support from inside your account with the bank receipt, the exact amount, the time and the account you paid from. Do not send a second transfer to fix the first one.
Can I withdraw to a different bank account from the one I paid with?
Operators usually require the payout account to be in the same name as the casino account, and many prefer the account the deposit came from. Changing the payout account right before a withdrawal tends to trigger extra checks. Decide on one account in your name and keep it.
Is a bank branch deposit a safe way to fund a casino account?
Paying in cash at a branch into your own account is ordinary banking. The casino deposit is the transfer you then make to the details the cashier shows. Never pay cash at a branch into an account that a stranger named for you.
