Wing is the payment name with the widest physical reach in Cambodia, which is exactly why it attracts the most impersonators. This page explains what Wing is, how a deposit and a payout usually travel through it when a casino cashier offers it, and which offers from so-called agents should end the conversation immediately.

What Wing is — and what it is not

Wing has provided mobile financial services in Cambodia since 2008. At the end of 2020 it received a commercial banking licence and became Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc, so calling it just a wallet is out of date. People use it in two ways: through the Wing Bank App on a phone, and through Wing Cash Xpress, a network of more than 10,000 agent points that covers every district of the country. The agents are where cash turns into a balance and back. That reach is the reason Wing matters to readers outside Phnom Penh, and also the reason this page spends as much time on agents as on the app. One more fact that scammers like to blur: Wing and TrueMoney are separate, independent companies.

Depositing with Wing — the usual path

Make sure your Wing account is in the same name as your R855 account. If you top it up with cash at a Wing Cash Xpress point, keep the agent's receipt.
Log in to R855 on the address you typed or bookmarked and open the deposit tab of the cashier.
If Wing is listed, select it and enter the amount. The cashier then gives you what Wing needs: a QR to scan, a payment request to approve in the app, or reference details.
Approve in the Wing Bank App only after checking the payee, the amount and the currency on the confirmation screen.
Save the Wing transaction ID until the balance updates.

The important split is between step one and step three. Putting cash on your own Wing account is ordinary banking. Paying the casino is a second action that starts inside R855's cashier. Anyone who offers to merge the two — take your cash and fund the casino for you — has stepped outside the only chain you can check.

Withdrawing to Wing

If R855's withdrawal tab lists Wing for your account, the payout goes to the Wing account you name in the request, which must match the name on the casino account. After the operator approves the request, the money lands in the Wing Bank App, and from there you can keep it, transfer it or take it out as cash at a Wing Cash Xpress point. If Wing is not listed for withdrawals, the cashier will offer something else — usually a transfer to a bank account in your name. A payout request typically shows as pending while the operator reviews it; that is normal, and it is also the moment when fake support messages tend to arrive, so read the next section before you need it.

Riel, dollars and the conversion question

Both currencies circulate in Cambodia: the riel is used for everything in rural areas, the dollar widely in cities and for larger amounts. Hold your Wing balance in the currency of your R855 balance if you can. If the two differ, the money is converted at a rate with a margin built in — and converted again on the way back. With the unofficial rate around 4,100 riel to the dollar, a 50-dollar payout is roughly 205,000 riel before any margin; treat that as a sense of scale, not a quote.

Agent scams that use the Wing name

The top-up agent. A Telegram, Messenger or WhatsApp contact offers fast R855 deposits through Wing, often with a bonus. You send money to their Wing number; your casino balance never moves.
The withdrawal helper. Someone promises to speed up a pending payout if you send a fee or share the code that just arrived by SMS. Pending is a review status, not a problem that a stranger can fix.
The fake receipt. A photo of a Wing Cash Xpress receipt or an app screenshot is offered as proof that money was sent. Only the transaction history in your own Wing Bank App counts.
The PIN request. No cashier, no support agent and no bank employee needs your Wing PIN or one-time code. Sharing them hands over the account.

Is Wing a wallet or a bank?

A bank. Wing started in 2008 as a mobile financial services provider and at the end of 2020 received a commercial banking licence, becoming Wing Bank (Cambodia) Plc. The phone app is the Wing Bank App, and the agent network is Wing Cash Xpress.

Can I deposit at R855 with cash through a Wing agent?

Only if the cashier shows a way to do it for your account, and only into an account in your own name. Cash handed to an agent is first credited to your Wing account; the casino deposit is a separate step that you start in R855's cashier. An agent who offers to pay the casino on your behalf is outside that chain, and if the money goes missing there is nobody to claim it from.

Is Wing the same as TrueMoney?

No. Wing and TrueMoney are independent companies, and no joint service combines the two brands. If a payment page or a chat message presents them as one product, read that as a warning sign.

What if R855 does not list Wing for my account?

Then Wing is not available to you there, and no chat agent can switch it on. Choose another method the cashier does list, and remember that the route you deposit by often shapes the route for the payout.

Under the Law on the Management of Commercial Gambling, Cambodian citizens may not gamble, and the government announced in September 2026 that all online operations at casinos would be suspended from the start of October 2026. Having a working payment method does not change that.
